Our AFC Wimbledon Foundation are holding trials for young footballers who wish to combine playing the game with their education at Southfields Academy.

AFC Wimbledon Education and Football programme offers potential recruits the opportunity to continue their educational learning while participating in a fully comprehensive training and playing programme.
Students will be able to gain A-Levels and selected BTEC Qualifications while participating on this course, AFC Wimbledon are part of a select few clubs that will allow your child to gain A-Levels. Studies take place utilising state-of-the-art facilities at Southfields Academy, based in Wandsworth.
On the pitch, students are given the opportunity to be taught by UEFA qualified coaches to help develop their football skills, while competing in an U-19 league to help them understand real game experiences.
Southfields Academy is in the top percentile of schools nationally for value-added results. Our partnership launched with Southfields earned press attention in local and national media. The Football & Education Programme runs for a two-year period. During this time, students will study A-Levels and/or a BTEC Qualification, while receiving approximately 6-9 hours per week in active training from UEFA qualified Academy coaches. Successful applicants typically join the first year of the programme in the school term directly following GCSE exams (year 12).
